Pool time

Yesterday morning we ran errands - Target for swim diapers and a floaty, then Katy Mills for a swimsuit.  Allison loved getting in the water again.  She sat and played on the first step (first picture) until Sparkie knocked her over and under the water.  We had a couple tears, then put her in the floaty (second picture).  She had a good time getting pushed around.

First time in the pool

With the temp in the low 90's today Allison and I took advantage of being at my parents and splashed around in the pool.  We stayed on the big shelf step where Allison could crawl around.  She kept heading for the deeper water and was ready to swim!  Allison loved getting to splash!

Allison and I headed to Katy today and stopped in College Station first for lunch with Stacey.  Allison got to try her first tortilla at Chuys.  We are already training her to love mexican food!

We took Allison to the subdivision playground for the first time today.  She spent a couple minutes on the swing then Kevin helped her down the littlest slide several times.

Happy Easter

Hope everyone is having a happy Easter weekend.  Kevin had Friday off and we spent most of the weekend on house projects.  This morning we went to church and had a picnic with our bible study group.

We are starting to give Allison pieces of our food, being careful of choking hazards.  This week she tried spaghetti, waffles and banana bread.  The waffles were a clear favorite.

Eggstravaganza

Yesterday our bible study class volunteered to sort the Easter Eggs for the churchs annual egg hunt yesterday afternoon.  The photos are on the church grounds before the egg hunt.  It was windy, but otherwise great weather.  We took Allison's picture with a real bunny, painted her leg (she wouldn't hold her face still to be painted) and took part in the egg hunt.

Allison is 7 months, 1 week old in these pictures.  She's sitting up and crawling - she wants to explore everything!  So far her favorite foods are peaches and bananas.

Spending the day at A&M to say goodbye to Kevin's dorm, Crocker Hall.  We hung out with Stacey this morning, then a tour of the dorm and lunch/beer at the Chicken.  Now we are at Olsen Field for Allison's first baseball game.

Howdy

2010 was a big year for us.  In January 2010 we found out we were expecting our first child, and Allison Nicole was born Sept 10, 2010.  We ended the year with Kevin accepting a promotion that included transferring to Fort Worth.  Now we are getting settled into our new house and working on turning it into a home.  Allison gets bigger and cuter every day and is on the verge of crawling.  Slowly we are starting to explore our new city and having new adventures.  Since we don't get to see our friends and family as often as we'd like, I thought this would be a good way to capture pictures and milestones of our Fort Worth adventures.
