She's 5!
Allison ran through preschool yelling "I'm 5 now! I'm 5 today". She was so excited to tell everyone.

Almost 5
Today is Allison's last day as a 4 year old. While she has her moments over I'm amazed by how sweet and considerate she is. She loves school, her friends, church and has so much enthusiasm for everything. Allison loves dressing up but absolutely knows it's what's on the inside that counts. Can't wait to see what 5 brings us.

Mother's Day Card
Allison brought me home a hand painted vase with a carnation and a homemade card from preschool today. I can't stop cracking up.

Girl power
Overheard from Allison's play:
"Can the four princesses save the prince? Of course they can if they work together". There was some singing that went with this too.
I'm a little surprised and a lot impressed.

Petting zoo
Yesterday our local Chickfila had a petting zoo in their parking lot. The girls loved it, Allison was obsessed with the bunny and Taylor wouldn't leave the donkey. We made it before the rain and got home before the weather got too bad.

Cinderella time
Saturday Cathy and took the girls to see Cinderella the musical at Casa MaƱana, then this morning my mom and I took the girls to see the new movie version along with two other mommy- daughter pairs from our preschool class. Enjoyed both, though I think Allison's favorite part was the 7 minute Frozen film at the start of the movie.

Taste Buds Kitchen
Today we celebrated the grand opening of TBK Southlake. Allison got to be particularly f the first ever class - Olaf Cupcakes. She had the best time and her cupcakes turned out pretty close to the chef sample. I'm so excited to be part of this team. Now hopefully the rest of the grand opening doesn't get cancelled due to all the SNOW.

Hockey Time
Saturday night we went with friends to the local minor league hockey game. Between periods one of the entertainment activities was a kids tug-of-war. Allison and about 50-60 other kids all got to go down on the ice and play a giant game of tug of war. Im pretty sure Allison was the smallest one out there but she had so much fun.

Parenting Success
Over the last several months we've been teaching Allison that we won't buy her toys just because during shopping trips. If she asks for something we ask if she has enough money for it. She gets a small allowance for good behavior and keeping her toys picked up. She can also earn extra money by doing small chores around the house.
Today she decided to go shopping. I hope her new toy is extra special because she paid for it herself with her own money.

This evening we got to celebrate Allison's 4th birthday with her friends. We had a Little Mermaid party at Little Gym. Super easy for us and everyone had a great time. We are so blessed to have such great friends.

Back to school
Thursday night Allison and I went to Meet the Teacher night at preschool. Kevin and Taylor stayed home to cheer on the Aggies.
Allison, Jesse and Riley are all in class together again this year. While we will miss Abby we will still see her at church and play dates.
The preschool has a new director and Allison's teacher is new having taught public elementary school the past few years. I'm excited to watch the girls grow and see all the things God has planned for the school.
School starts Tuesday. Allison already has new princess tennis shoes and we are surprising her with a new back pack and lunch box.
