How to use a chair

It turns out there are multiple ways to use the rocking chair pictured below. Recently Allison has been flipping it over and sitting on the cross bar when she doesn't want it to rock. I'm not sure if I should be proud or worried - she's already getting too smart for her own good.

Five

Allison just counted to five by herself for the first time. We've been practicing counting on her toes for the past couple weeks.

Allison and Sparkie

Allison and I are in Houston visiting friends and family this week. One of Allison's favorite things is spending time with my parents dogs, especially Sparkie. I think it's because he's the closest one to her size, but they love to play and Allison has been giving him lots of hugs.

First swim of the year

The pool was cold but dad warmed up the hot tub a little so Allison could be a water baby. She loved it, both in her float and walking around the ledge and making some vague attempts to swim. We had to drag her out of the water.

High heels

I was too slow with the camera but Allison walked across the entire living room in my shoes! Not sure if I should be scared or impressed. 19 months old and already in 2 inch heels.

Look who stole my diet lemonade

I'm surprised she even liked it - I figured it would be too tart. So far Allison has only had milk, water and apple juice but she stole my diet lemonade after storytime at chickfila and threw a tantrum when I tried to take it back!

Eggstravaganza

Every year our church has an Easter egg hunt and potluck the weekend before Easter.  Last year we had fun but Allison wasn't walking yet so it wasn't much of an event for her.  This year was a lot more fun.  We practiced picking up eggs and putting them in her basket at home so she would get the concept at the big egg hunt.  She did really well until one of the little boys (who was opening all of his eggs) handed her a chocolate candy, and then she lost all interest in anything but the piece of candy.  It was very sweet of him to share, but I was still trying to get pictures.  The weather was great and we got to spend the afternoon with our bible study friends and their families and watch the kids enjoy the fun.

Bluebonnets

Spring in Texas means bluebonnets.  Allison wasn't in the mood to pose but we got a few good shots.  She insisted on bringing her bunny with her.
