Donuts

This morning Allison joined Kevin on a donut run and picked out her own donut. The photos were too precious to keep to myself.

Who's ready for summer?

Allison had her last day of school yesterday. One of her classmates gave everyone a "have a kool summer" kool aid packet and crazy straw. Allison couldn't wait to come home and "cook". Unfortunately she didn't like the drink, oh well.

Desserts with Allison

Allison recently became interested in cooking and likes to help stir. Tonight she helped me make two desserts. My kitchen may never recover.

I have been craving cold creamy desserts lately (cheesecake, tiramisu) so we made strawberries and cream - a recipe I found on Pinterest. It was cool whip, yogurt, cheesecake flavored pudding mix ad fruit. So far I don't think it's something I will make again, but Allison had fun. She kept adding strawberries before I could cut them up.

Little Swimmer

Today Allison picked out two swimsuits for the summer - one with the little mermaid, one with sea horses on it.

All the way home she kept saying "we're going to the beach house". Trying to explain that we won't head down there until 4th of July did not go over well. Our pool isn't open yet but she HAD to try out her new swimsuit so bath tub it is.

Zoo animals

Saturday we spent the afternoon at the zoo, a favorite activity with nice weather. Allison loved posing on the statues around the amphibian house - she cried when she had to let someone else have a turn. She loves taking photos and often tells me "mommy take a picture with your pink phone"

Halfway through the zoo she kicked off her boots and went the rest of the trip in just socks.

Pizza

After church we had lunch at Double Dave's and I couldn't resist getting a few pictures of Allison with her pizza. We usually cut it up for her but she grabbed a slice and had so much fun.

This morning the first thing Allison said was "Mommy, I left my pizza at Chuys!" (Chuys is our favorite Mexican restaurant if you haven't noticed). She was very concerned about this so it worked out that we had already planned a pizza lunch outing.
